The High-Back Chair is based on Carola Strauss Trier’s chair, built for her by Mr. Pilates. It is two design generations removed from a medical wheelchair, which Mr. Pilates outfitted with arm and leg springs.

We respect and follow the practice of traditional Pilates. As teachers and students ourselves, we recognize that over time bodies have changed. So has the teaching profession.
